They took their name from Dione, one of the daughters of Oceanus, who was the father of gods and men, and the goddess of love, beauty, and eternal youth, in Greek mythology, thus inheriting a rich legacy of mythology and symbolism. The Greek letter Delta Δ represents spirituality, harmony, and creativity. Each piece is innovative yet classic, contemporary yet timeless. They offer glasses that combine high-quality Italian acetate and metallic details with ZEISS lenses using quality Greek craftsmanship.

Their values are equality, respect and decency for everyone in supply chain. They combine industrial design with vintage influences, and create handmade sunglasses designed for the urbanite, who lives in, works in and goes out on the town.
They produce handmade sunglasses using the traditional Italian method. Each pair of Urban Owl glasses is crafted by 24 craftsmen in 40 production stages. The entire process takes 3 months, from start to finish.
